for the exhibition Wo das Gras grüner ist, Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, 2015.
- performance in Rodchenko’s Worker’s Club
- artist publication
The performance was realized in Rodchenko’s Worker’s Club which was for the first time restaged in Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein in the way it was used for its intended purposes: as a place for lecture, performance, screenings and social exchange.
The script for the performance is written as a record of traces and signs of Adrian Lister’s presence. Thinking about who is Adrian Lister became a mode of attention. The thoughts around this question materialized through found and gifted objects, packaging designs, movie shots, historical characters and looking closely at other artistic projects.
The performance was thought of as a format for sharing experiences and emotions that were made aware or provoked in relation Adrian Lister – Adrijana Gvozdenović which can open space for conversation.
Artist publication contains parts of the performance script, free translation of the historical document about Stephen the Little – false king that ruled Montenegro for four years, an essay by cultural historian Denis Maksimov Existential threats to Adrian Lister posed by future political changes, and an interview with artist Wesley Meuris about his research within the Foundation for Exhibiting Art & Knowledge.
